I bought the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Companion in September for the third anniversary of my daughter and Melissa & Doug easel. I opened the paint and poured in all pairs and began to paint and I started to smell thermaldahyde. The smell was terrible. It was the same smell when I was in a cadaver lab at the university and I wore gloves twice since he felt so bad. I threw all the paintings and the paintings in the garbage outside. I could still feel the thermaldahyde on the kitchen table where I put the paint after having been down. I washed the table with a wood cleaner and polish kitchen and still felt thermaldahyde. I certainly would not recommend painting by Melissa & Doug. The box says non-toxic, but is also manufactured in China. Has no odor and nontoxic. Rating: 1 / 5
I bought this fifth anniversary of my nephew and he loved it. It is a good sturdy tripod and a lot of paint and plaster to keep it busy for hours. Rating: 5 / 5
My daughter loves to paint and I like the drop test pots of paint. It is a bit “to escape a princess:) Highly recommended and comes with everything. I use a little art easel Tykes. Rating: 4 / 5
My 3 year old daughter received this for Christmas and I am very happy with the product. My husband had to help the Assembly. It was a perfect setting for its adjustable height. She has painted so that we will need new brushes soon. It’s one of those products that are both a big girl or a boy. Rating: 4 / 5
